FC Barcelona to Host First Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend

Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in La Liga 30 months after they moved out for construction to commence.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees can be present as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.

Stadium Testing

Barça organized an open training session at the Camp Nou earlier this month. The club said approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December at the stadium. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
