Eulogies Continue for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Are Sealed.

Well beyond 14 days subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community persist in remembering the duo.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he finally felt prepared to post publicly about his deep grief.

"Enough time has elapsed that I can at last express my sorrow into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his initial encounter with Reiner made him fall in love. "Once we started spending more time together I understood this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor uploaded never-before-seen clips from the film, adding that he could not remember "a single day without laughter".

"The film is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Principles that Rob cherished deeply. This is one of the many reasons he was the ideal person to helm it," Elwes wrote.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still hurts every time I recall you." He concluded with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Colleague and Comrade

In a different essay, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the main character.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with everyone, and he understood the human predicament of his character," Scorsese added.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Withheld

In a new development, a Los Angeles judge ruled to bar the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, after an appeal from the LAPD.

A judicial mandate issued a restriction on the investigation to limit the public release of "related notes, evidence and photographs" associated with the probe.

The relevant authority had earlier stated their deaths were the result of homicide, with a official listing noting the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Response and Criticism

After the killings, public figures offered divergent responses.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, providing divisive statements that were broadly criticized by numerous public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his criticism to the those speaking out last week. Speaking on his program, Rogan described the remarks as "disappointing" and suggested they showed a worrisome deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan concluded by proposing that an associate should have intervened when the choice to comment on the tragedy was made.
