On Monday, Leicester Crown Court heard call records and information retrieved from phones documented Ms Wandelt repeatedly demanding Madeleine's mother for a DNA test throughout 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's case in 2007 - at the age of three during a family holiday in Portugal - is considered the most widely reported missing child cases and remains unsolved.

'I Don't Want Money'

Another recorded message, shared in court, recorded Ms Wandelt declaring: "I understand I'm overweight and plain like Madeleine was, but I know what I know."

While one recording of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's answerphone said: "Suppose there is a slight possibility that I am Madeleine? What happens next? Wouldn't that be crucial for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I have a existence here in Poland, I simply desire to discover," the message continued.

The tribunal was advised that via electronic messages, mobile messages and calls, Ms Wandelt asked for a DNA test, transmitted youth pictures to her phone in a attempt to demonstrate a similarity to Mrs McCann's vanished daughter, and claimed to have "memories" from a early life with the McCanns.

An intelligence analyst, an intelligence analyst with the police force who compiled the information, advised the court there "seemed to lack any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore reached out to close associates of the McCanns, as per the phone records.

On that date, Mr McCann responded to a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, stating she had "incorrect contact information."

During that incident Ms Wandelt deposited a recording on Mrs McCann's voicemail stating "I will persist and I plan to establish my position."

The court was informed Mrs Spragg struck up a connection through digital means with Ms Wandelt prior to assisting her on a visit to the McCanns' property in Leicestershire in that winter.

Communication data revealed Mrs Spragg had contacted via communication app to Mrs McCann to say the press had characterized Ms Wandelt as "mentally unstable" but that she should be treated respectfully in the period before the appearance to that location, Leicestershire, in last December.

The court was told communications between the two individuals, in November 2024, considering endeavoring to acquire Mrs McCann's biological evidence from her trash or from silverware at a dining venue.

"We must take action," the co-defendant told Ms Wandelt.

On the evening of the trip to their house, the defendant sent a text which said: "We find ourselves positioned adjacent to the McCanns' home with our headlights off similar to detectives. I had hoped to accomplish this with someone else I never thought I would be doing that with the McCanns."

The proceedings continues.
